Uber's latest update — announced Wednesday via blog post — makes a rider's rating pop up right under their name in the app. 

In other words, now you can't hide from your Uber ratings.

Then new ratings display is part of Uber's ongoing effort to become more driver-friendly. The idea is to make riders more cognizant of how they behave while in the back seat. While it’s always been simple for Uber riders to quickly evaluate potential drivers, it’s long been a chore for riders to figure out what drivers think of them.
